Flood Ford Crowned R.I. Connie Mack State Champions!
Flood Ford Auto (14-4-1) capped off the 2023 summer season by sweeping Coventry in the Rhode Island Connie Mack State Championship.
Game One: Flood Ford 11 Coventry 1
Led by the combined four-hit pitching of Matt Jarmie and Dylan Poloski, Flood Ford defeated Coventry, 11-1, in game one.
Offensively, they were led by Park Boyd (2/5, 2 rbi’s), Mason Brookfield (2/3, one triple) and Jude Monti (2 rbi’s).
Coventry received two hits each from Branden Deprete and Ethan Koczwarski.
Game Two: Flood Ford 8 Coventry 4
Christian Butera, the tournament Most Valuable Player, struck out seven and scattered seven hits in a complete game effort in Flood Ford’s 8-4 victory in game two.
Will Mascena (2/3, one double, three runs scored), Angel Fuscellaro (2/3, two runs scored, and Jack DePalma (rbi double) were the leading hitters for Flood.
Coventry received two hits and two rbi’s from Mason Hunt.
